The apprenticeship levy is just over a year old. Devised by former chancellor, George Osborne, it has been designed to encourage investment in apprenticeship programmes and training.
Unfortunately, it hasn’t exactly been plain sailing for the levy, with the number of apprenticeships down since its launch last year. But it isn’t all doom and gloom. In fact, we think there are some incredibly positive lessons that can be learned from the last twelve months.
Whether you’re an employer with a wage bill of over £3m (and therefore contributing to the levy), or a smaller business battling with a dwindling training budget, the levy could help you plan for the future, increase your talent base and grow your business.
As a supplier of MS Dynamics 365 for apprenticeships, we have a direct insight into this fascinating sector, and have created an eBook that takes a detailed look at the levy, one year on.
