Microsoft Release Plans

Who does this update apply to?

The Wave 2 Release will affect Dynamics 365 online customers and will not apply to Dynamics 365 On-Premise customers.

As a Microsoft Dynamics customer, do I need to do anything?

If you are working with a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Partner, they should have informed you of the changes taking place and will be looking after this for you. However, if you are a customer managing your systems internally, there has been the option to validate the upcoming features and capabilities in a non-production environment, with the early access.

Microsoft no longer provides customers and partners the ability to schedule upgrades (as they have in the past) and this release will be automatically pushed to all Dynamics 365 environments.

When is the next update?

Microsoft releases new functionality throughout the year to ensure your business is always up to date with the latest technology, however the two major updates take place in October and April.
