Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform – Wave 1 Release 2020 Timeline.
Twice a year, Microsoft release two major updates (known as Wave 1 and 2) to Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform. The first release of 2020 will be generally available in early April and the timeline has now been confirmed for the next update.
On January 27th 2020, the release plans will be available detailing the features and capabilities which will be rolled out during Wave 1. Similar to last year, we will cover they key features in a blog post, reviewing the best of what’s to come across Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform – watch this space!
Early access provides an opportunity for customers and partners to test and validate the upcoming capabilities in a non-production environment, before they are enabled automatically. This will be available from February 3rd 2020, providing plenty of time to get ready for the roll out of these changes with confidence.
More detail on the early access can be found here at the Microsoft Early Access FAQ: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/get-started/release-schedule
