What is Power Automate?

Power Automate, previously named Microsoft Flow, enables users to create and automate workflows and tasks across multiple applications, without the need for technical experience. These automated workflows are called flows, and can be triggered when a specific event occurs.

As part of the Power Platform, Power Automate integrates with various Microsoft services and apps; Power BI, PowerApps, Dynamics 365 and Office 365.

Check out our blog which looks at the benefits and uses of Power Automate for businesses.

Power Automate

Multistep flows

Turn repititive tasks into multistep workflows that you can customise and add one or more actions for the same trigger.

One example of this is the ability to capture a tweet, then add the person as a lead in Dynamics 365, a subscriber in Mailchimp and more.

Approve Requests

Approve Requests

Set up automated workflow to quickly respond to documents or requests for time off, overtime, travel plans or documents like budgets, contracts, sales opportunities and more.

Approvers will receive email notifications about pending approvals, and can view and respond to all approval requests in the unified approvals centre.

Work securely

Prevent sensitive data from leaving your company using data loss prevention (DLP) policies.

Creating a DLP policy ensures that data is managed in a uniform manner across the organistion and prevents important data from being accidentally published to connectors such as social media sites.

Power BI Sales Dashboard

Everything you need, on one dashboard

View important figures relating to your business from one dashboard. No matter where your data lives, you can get a full view of all the key metrics and make fast responsive decisions based on these figures.

Office 365 familairity means users can connect Excel queries, data models and reports to Power BI dashboards, making it quicker and easier to gather, analyse and publish data than before.

Common Data Service

Common Data Service is integrated into Power Automate and brings a powerful data service with security capabilities, business logic and rich customisation. It is also easier to bring your data together and ensure this information is stored in a standard format through the common data model so it’s ready to go and easy to use.
