What is Power Automate?

As mentioned previously, Power Automate ultimately allows businesses to automate time-consuming and repetitive tasks. Users can create workflows across multiple applications, without the need for technical experience. These automated workflows are called flows and can be triggered when a specific event occurs.

The most common uses of Power Automate are creating workflows to synchronise files, get notifications or gather data, however, there are hundreds of processes a business could automate.

As part of the Power Platform, Power Automate is positioned at anyone from a basic business user to an IT professional. The low-code capabilities and drag-and-drop functionality make automating processes easier than ever.

Approve Requests

Set up automated workflows to quickly respond to documents or requests for time off, overtime, travel plans or documents like budgets, contracts, sales opportunities, and more.

Approvers will receive email notifications about pending approvals and can view and respond to all approval requests in the unified approvals centre.

Microsoft Power Automate Examples

There are 1000’s of pre-built automation templates than businesses can use to get started with. These cover common business processes, such as automatically saving email attachments, managing approvals, sending automatic reminders for past due tasks, and sending notifications for various events. Additionally, Power Automate is not just limited to Microsoft Dynamics 365. There are 200+ connectors for apps including Outlook, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Adobe Sign, MailChimp, Twitter and Facebook.
